SYMPTOMSWhen administering components in the Windows NT 4.0 Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) Snap-in, you might want to add a Windows 2000 computer to the "Computers" list. However, when attempting to open the "Packages Installed" folder, you might see the following error:
CAUSEThe MTS 2.0 Snap-in was not designed to administer COM+ applications on Windows 2000 computers. RESOLUTION
If you need to remotely administer the server, you can either use a remote
administration tool such as system management software (SMS), connect to the Windows 2000 computer using Terminal Services, or develop active server pages (ASP) pages that use the MTS Administration objects to perform the tasks you need.
