SYMPTOMS

If you run Hhupd.exe by selecting Run from the Start menu and using the /? switch, a dialog box appears explaining the following command line switches:

/Q, /T, /C and /C
Although it appears that you can use all of these switches with Hhupd.exe, you cannot and should use them.

MORE INFORMATION

Following are the currently supported switches:

  • /Q - Causes Hhupd.exe to run in a "mostly" quiet mode. A file extraction progress bar flashes on the screen during the installation although no user interaction is required.

  • /Q:A - Causes Hhupd.exe to run in a completely quiet mode.

  • /R:N - Suppresses the reboot prompt. A reboot does not occur.

  • /R:A - Forces the reboot prompt to always appear.

NOTE: The reboot prompt always appears if the HTML Help Viewer is in use when you run Hhupd.exe.
