SYMPTOMSDriverCallback returns an invalid value that has nothing to do with the status of the call. CAUSEDriverCallback incorrectly overwrites the actual return value right before the function exits. RESOLUTIONThe only workaround is to not use the return value as a reference for return status. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
