SYMPTOMSUnder Windows 95, you may see a debug level 1 warning from the Configuration Manager that a device does not allow rebalance and removal. CAUSEConfiguration Manager checks the ulFlags parameter passed to CONFIGMG_Register_Device_Driver. If either of the CM_REGISTER_DEVICE_DRIVER_DISABLEABLE or CM_REGISTER_DEVICE_DRIVER_REMOVABLE flags are not set, Configuration Manager sends this warning. RESOLUTIONWhen you call CONFIGMG_Register_Device_Driver, specify both the CM_REGISTER_DEVICE_DRIVER_DISABLEABLE and CM_REGISTER_DEVICE_DRIVER_REMOVABLE flags to prevent this debug message from appearing and to allow the rebalance and removal of the device. STATUSThis behavior is by design. REFERENCESFor more information on CONFIGMG_Register_Device_Driver see the Windows 95 DDK.
