The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSAppleTalk protocol does not bind to FDDI network cards. However, it does bind to Ethernet cards. At the same time TCP/IP, IPX, and NetBEUI do bind to FDDI network cards. CAUSEAppleTalk will not bind to an adapter that does not have a MediaType keyword in the parameter section of the card. RESOLUTIONUnder Windows NT 4.0, you need to set the MediaType parameter in the INF to 3.(NOTE: In Windows NT 3.51, MediaType is listed as 4 when it should be 3.)
