SYMPTOMSWhen you print to a Canon Bubble-Jet 200 from Windows NT, the printer may reset then stop responding (hang). All Windows-based applications, both 16- bit and 32-bit, experience this problem. CAUSEThis problem occurs when the Canon Bubble-Jet 200 is set to Epson LQ compatibility mode. MORE INFORMATION
The Canon Bubble-Jet 200 has both Canon Bubble-Jet and Epson LQ
compatibility modes. Under Windows 3.0 and 3.1, or Windows for Workgroups
3.1 and 3.11, using the Canon Bubble-Jet 200 printer driver generates
correct output even if the printer is set in Epson LQ compatibility mode.
Under Windows NT 3.1, this is no longer possible. The printer must be in
Canon mode to use the Canon Bubble-Jet driver, or Epson LQ mode to use an
Epson driver.
