SYMPTOMSWhen activating a Microsoft Foundations Classes (MFC)-based application built with Visual C++ version 2.0 under Win32s version 1.2, if the language setting in Windows or Windows for Workgroups Control panel is set to anything other than English, German, or French, the following error occurs: This error has also been reported with non-MFC-based applications as well. CAUSECRT startup code causes an unhandled exception in the Win32s DLL (W32SCOMB.DLL). RESOLUTIONFor an international version of Windows 3.1 or Windows for Workgroups, if the country and language settings are changed to United States and English(American), 32-bit MFC-based applications are able to run.
