SYMPTOMSWhen you view the list of screen savers in the Display Properties dialog box in Windows 95 and Windows 98, your screen saver is displayed with the file name instead of the description string. CAUSEWindows identifes the file name as being a long file name because after calling FindFirstFile, it compares the file name to the alternate file name with case sensitivity. If the case on the file names is different, it identifies the file name as a long file name. The alternate file name is always uppercase. RESOLUTION
There are two solutions. The first and best is to name the file with a long
file name that is identical to the description.
Everything after the colon will be included as the descriptive text.
