SYMPTOMSWhen you use RasDial() in a stand-alone application and an invalid username or password is supplied, the following error message appears: However when an application calls RasDial() to dial in a service with an invalid username or password, you get an Access Violation at location 0000:0000. RESOLUTIONYou must ensure that a valid username and password is either hard-coded, or, if you have a GUI, then you need to prompt the users to enter a valid username and password in order to prevent the application from hanging. STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
