PRB: Word 97 Japanese Creates Incorrect RTF File

on the following platforms: Win95

SYMPTOMS

An RTF file that is created using Japanese Word 97 cannot be compiled by HCW.exe, which is included in Visual C++ 4.2, Japanese version. This HCW version is 4.01.0950.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, do one of the following:

Use the HCW 4.02.xxxx. or later version.

Create the RTF file using Japanese Word 95.
