BUG: WSCInstallQOSTemplate Does Not Work

SYMPTOMS

The WSCInstallQOSTemplate API does not add a Service Provider-specific or global QOS template when called, even though the API does not return an error when called. To observe this behavior, call WSAGetQOSByName to obtain a list of QOS templates installed in the system. Note that the QOS template that was just added is not listed.

RESOLUTION

Do not use this API. Instead, simply assign values for your QOS template in your program.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
