HOWTO: Install Simplified Chinese Language Support Files

ID: Q199180

The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Windows NT 4.0

SUMMARY

To build international software on English Windows NT, you need to install additional language support files. Usually, this can be done by installing from the .inf file in the \Langpack subdirectory of the Windows NT 4.0 installation CD-ROM. However, the simplified Chinese file, schinese.inf, is missing. To install the codepage and fonts for simplified Chinese, download the simplified Chinese language add-ons for Internet Explorer.
