FIX: Memory Leak in ADSI 2.0 Web Release OLE-DB Provider

SYMPTOMS

Applications running searches using the Active Directory Services Interfaces(ADSI) version 2.0 release to the web may experience a memory leak. In most cases the memory leak is not noticeable unless queries return recordsets upwards of a thousand records.


CAUSE

The effect is caused by a cursor resource leak in the ADSI OLE-DB provider, ADSDSOObject.


STATUS

This is a known problem in ADSI version 2.0. It has been fixed in ADSI version 2.5.
