BUG: Windbg Does Not Install from the April 99 Platform SDK (MSDN Disc 6)

SYMPTOMS

The April 1999 Platform SDK does not install the Windows Debugger, Windbg.exe.

CAUSE

There is an error in the installer program for this version of the SDK.

RESOLUTION

Download the latest release of the Windows 2000 Debuggers available from the following Web site:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/developer/sdk/windbg.asp

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
