The Mobile Channels scripting model is based on Active Server Pages (ASP), as defined in the Internet Information Server (IIS). ASP code is written in Visual Basic Script (VBScript). In Mobile Channels, both ASP and VBScript are scaled to fit Windows CE-based devices. The streamlined ASP is also referred to as pocket ASP (pASP). Together, pASP and VBScript are referred to as the Mobile Channels scripting environment. The discussions presented here focus on the differences between pASP and VBScript for Mobile Channels and ASP and VBScript for Active Channels.
