Moving a Team Solution to a Different Server

Moving team solutions from one server to another can be accomplished by creating a template based on the team solution and then using this template to create a new instance of the solution on another server.

To move a team solution to a different server

  1. Open the solution in the Access Workflow Designer. For more information about launching the designer, see Accessing Access Workflow Designer Tools.

  2. From the File menu, choose Save as Template. The Team Template wizard starts.

  3. Follow the instructions for the wizard. This creates a template based on the solution and registers it on the server.

  4. In the Team Solutions Manager, select the server, and then select the Templates tab.

  5. In the list of templates, select the template you just created, click Export to File. Browse to the new server, and save the .tpl file.

  6. In the Team Solutions Manager, select the new server in the Server box.

  7. From the Templates tab, select Import from File, and browse to the .tpl file you just saved. This imports the template file into the template directory for the new server.

  8. Then, use the New Team Solutions wizard to create a new instance of the solution based on the template.

  9. Once the new solution is created, you can delete the old solution from the server if desired. For details, see Deleting a Team Solution from the Server.
