If you have administrative permissions on SQL Server, the New Team Solutions wizard can create new SQL Server logins for you while it creates the solution.

Note   The login is not created until you finish the wizard.

Options

User name

Makes it possible for you to specify the SQL Server domain and user or group name. You can type a domain and user or group name or select one from the Available names list.

If you type a domain and user or group name, use the format domain\user.

Note   If you type the server name as the domain and specify a name that does not already exist, the New Team Solutions wizard will attempt to create a local Windows NT group on the server with that name. You must be a system administrator on the server to create a local Windows NT group.

List names from domain

Lists the SQL Server domains from which you can select a user or group. Select a domain from the list to populate the Available names list.

Available names

Displays the names of the users or groups in the selected domain.

To display a list of users and groups, select a domain from the List names from domain box, click Refresh to display a list of users or groups for that domain, and then select a user or group. The selected user or group name appears in the User name box.

Show all users

When selected, displays the names of all users or groups from the selected SQL Server domain in the Available names list.

OK

Accepts the name in the User name box, closes the SQL Server Login dialog box, and displays it in the SQL Logins list in the Database Roles page of the New Team Solutions wizard.

Cancel

Cancels any changes and closes the dialog box.

Refresh

Displays the Available names list from the selected domain.
