The Remote Components folder contains the components that are registered locally on one computer to run remotely on another computer. Using the Remote Components folder requires that you have MTS installed on the client machines that you want to configure. If you want to configure remote computers manually using the Explorer, add the components that will be accessed by remote computers to the Remote Components folder.
Note that before you can configure remote components, you must add to your Computers folder any additional servers that will run remote components.
