ADS_OCTET_STRING

The ADS_OCTET_STRING structure is an ADSI representation of the Octet String attribute syntax used in Active Directory and Novell NetWareŽ Directory Services (NDS).

Members

dwLength
The size, in bytes, of the character array.
lpValue
Pointer to an array of single byte characters not interpreted by the underlying directory.

Remarks

Memory for the byte array must be allocated separately.

Requirements

  Windows NT/2000: Requires Windows 2000 (or Windows NT 4.0 with DSClient).
  Windows 95/98: Requires Windows 95 or later (with DSClient).
  Header: Declared in Iads.h.
