Viewing and Modifying the Exchange Server Schema

You can see the Exchange schema by using the Exchange Administrator program in raw mode.

To view the Exchange Server schema

1. Start the Exchange Administrator program using the "/r" switch from the command line.

   C:\exchsrvr\bin\admin.exe /r

   You are now logged in under the raw mode.

2. On the View menu, click Raw Directory. A schema container will appear in the left pane of the application.
3. Click the schema container. Now all classes and attributes in the directory are visible in the right pane. Items with a "C" in the icon are class definitions; items with an "A" in the icon are attribute definitions.
