HKEY_USERS contains all actively loaded user profiles. HKEY_USERS has at least two keys: .DEFAULT and the Security ID string for the user who is currently logged on. The information in the .DEFAULT subkey is used when no users are logged on to the computer (the ctrl+alt+delete login prompt is displayed).
The .DEFAULT key contains the same subkeys as in HKEY_CURRENT_USER. These are described in Table 23.9. For details about the contents of subkeys in HKEY_USERS, see Regentry.hlp, the Registry Help file on the Windows NT Workstation Resource Kit CD.
To delete profiles from a computer, click Delete User Profiles on the Options menu in Windows NT Setup.
