Use DNS Manager to add the local and remote Microsoft DNS servers to be managed by using the local computer running Microsoft DNS server.
To add a Microsoft DNS server
1. In DNS Manager, click the Server List icon.
2. Click New Server, and enter either the DNS server host name or the IP address in the Add DNS Server dialog box.
3. Click OK.
DNS Manager will automatically display a server icon for the new server and automatically create the following zones:
After you have added a server, you can then configure the server and create the zone or zones to be managed by the server.
To configure the server
1. Right-click the server icon, and click Properties.
2. In the Server Properties dialog box, add the IP address (or IP addresses for a multihomed computer) and forwarder information as needed.
