DNS Manager displays statistics about the traffic received on the computer running Microsoft DNS server. These statistics are automatically started and displayed in the right pane of DNS Manager after you add a server and create at least one zone on that server. By default, these statistics are cumulative and are not normally cleared until the computer running Microsoft DNS server is stopped.
You can use the dnsstat.exe utility provided in the Windows NT Server version 4.0 Resource Kit to clear the statistics without stopping the Microsoft DNS server.
