Microsoft Office 2000 Developer |
Allows you to choose whether the wizard creates one large .cab file for your package or a series of smaller .cab files that break your package up into a series of manageable units. If you are planning to deploy using floppy disks, you must choose the Multiple Cabs option. If you are planning to deploy using any other method, you can choose either the Single Cab or Multiple Cabs option, depending on your preferences.
For more information about packaging and deploying your applications, see Solution Distribution.
Single Cab
Copies all of the necessary files that must be installed for your application into a single .cab file.
Multiple Cabs
Copies your application's files into multiple, smaller .cab files of the size you indicate. Choose this option if you plan to deploy the package to floppy disks using the deployment part of the wizard.
Note You must choose the Multiple Cabs option in order to be able to deploy to floppy disks using the wizard. Even if your package will fit on a single floppy, you should still choose this option. In this case, the wizard will create only one .cab file.
Cab Size
Lists the available sizes the wizard can use when creating multiple .cab files. Make sure to select a size that matches the type of floppy disk you plan to use when you deploy your application.
