Microsoft Office 2000/Visual Basic Programmer's Guide

Viewing Available Application-Specific Add-ins

Application-specific add-ins are displayed in other dialog boxes, which differ slightly between applications. In Word, this is the Templates and Add-ins dialog box; in Excel and PowerPoint, it's the Add-ins dialog box; in Access, it's the Add-in Manager.

Each dialog box has buttons to add or remove add-ins from the list of application-specific add-ins, and a check box to indicate whether the add-in is loaded. As with COM add-ins, the application-specific add-in must be loaded into memory before it can be used.
