Change the format of data in a text box or other control in a form or report

1. Open a form in Design view or a report in Design view.
   
   
2. Make sure the control is selected, and then click Properties on the toolbar to open its property sheet.
   
   
3. In the Format property box, click one of the predefined formatting settings. You can create your own format if a predefined format doesn't meet your needs. For more information, click .

To ensure consistency among applications, Microsoft Access uses the regional settings that are specified in Microsoft Windows Control Panel for some predefined Number and Date/Time formats. For more information, click .
