In Microsoft Access 2000, you use the Customize dialog box, available by pointing to Toolbars on the View menu and clicking Customize, to make design-time changes to command bars. You can use this dialog box to add and modify menu bars, toolbars, and shortcut menus, and to add any of the built-in menu items or toolbar buttons to one of these types of command bars. However, you can only add custom command buttons or menu items to a command bar by using this dialog box. To add custom edit boxes, drop-down list boxes, or combo boxes to a command bar, you must use Visual Basic.
