Users can't open my interactive data access page.

To use Microsoft Access interactive data on the data access page, your users must have Microsoft Office 2000 Professional, Premium, or Standard Edition installed, or a Microsoft Office 2000 site license and the Web Components installed.

To ensure that users on your intranet have the Web Components installed, you can specify that the Web components download to the user's machine when the user opens your data access page.

  1. Open the data access page in Design view.

  2. On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the General tab.

  3. Click Web Options, and then click the Files tab.

  4. Select the Download Office Web Components check box.

  5. In the Location box, type the path for the file server, such as file:\\my server\my folder.

Note   Users must have access to the file server. The Web Components cannot be downloaded through firewalls.
