The records the query retrieves are in the wrong order.
Specify a sort order if you haven't already done so. For more information, click .
If you're working in a multiuser environment, someone else may have set a different sort order. Sort orders are saved with the query. You can change the sort order to the one you want.
If you've already specified a sort order, it may be set for the wrong field. Delete the sort you specified and specify a new sort order for the correct field.
If the sort order is set for the correct field, you may have selected Ascending when you really wanted Descending, or vice versa. Select the correct sort order.
If you have sort orders specified for more than one field, you may need to reorder the fields in the query design grid because Microsoft Access performs multiple sorts from left to right in the order the fields appear in the query design grid.
The field you specified the sort order for may be hidden. If you want to show the field you're using to sort records, make sure the Show check box is selected in the query design grid.
You can't set a sort order on a Hyperlink field. However, you can sort on an expression by using the HyperlinkPart function. For more information, click .
