An application that contains a linked or embedded OLE object from another application. For example, if an OLE object in a Microsoft Access database contains a Microsoft Excel worksheet, Microsoft Access is the OLE container.
Note OLE containers are known as "container applications" in previous versions of Microsoft Access.
