In a Microsoft Access project, a data type that can hold positive or floating point numbers similar to numbers held by the float data type. The real data type has seven-digit precision and has a range of positive values of approximately 1.18E – 38 through 3.40E + 38; the range of negative values is approximately –1.18E – 38 through –3.40E + 38. Zero can also be stored.
