Examples of standard formats for data types

You can format fields that you create with different formats based on the data type. The following table provides a list of some of the formats that Outlook includes.

For a complete list of standard formats available for a field in a view, click Current View on the View menu, then click Format Columns. Select the field you want to format in the Available fields box, and then select a format in the Format list. If you don't find the format you want, you can create a custom format with a Formula data type and the Format function.
