REFERENTIAL_CONSTRAINTS Rowset

The REFERENTIAL_CONSTRAINTS rowset identifies the referential constraints defined in the catalog that are owned by a given user.

The REFERENTIAL_CONSTRAINTS rowset contains the following columns.

Column name Type indicator Description
CONSTRAINT_CATALOG DBTYPE_WSTR Catalog name. NULL if the provider does not support catalogs.
CONSTRAINT_SCHEMA DBTYPE_WSTR Unqualified schema name. NULL if the provider does not support schemas.
CONSTRAINT_NAME DBTYPE_WSTR Constraint name.
UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_CATALOG DBTYPE_WSTR Catalog name in which the unique or primary key constraint is defined. NULL if the provider does not support catalogs.
UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_SCHEMA DBTYPE_WSTR Unqualified schema name in which the unique or primary key constraint is defined. NULL if the provider does not support schemas.
UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_NAME DBTYPE_WSTR Unique or primary key constraint name.
MATCH_OPTION DBTYPE_WSTR If a <match type> was specified, the MATCH_OPTION value is one of the following:

"NONE"—No <match type> was specified.

"PARTIAL"—A <match type> of PARTIAL was specified.

"FULL"—A <match type> of FULL was specified.

UPDATE_RULE DBTYPE_WSTR If an <update rule> was specified, the UPDATE_RULE value is one of the following:

"CASCADE"—A <referential action> of CASCADE was specified.

"SET NULL"—A <referential action> of SET NULL was specified.

"SET DEFAULT"—A <referential action> of SET DEFAULT was specified.

"NO ACTION"—A <referential action> of NO ACTION was specified.

DELETE_RULE DBTYPE_WSTR If a <delete rule> was specified, the DELETE_RULE value is one of the following:

"CASCADE"—A <referential action> of CASCADE was specified.

"SET NULL"—A <referential action> of SET NULL was specified.

"SET DEFAULT"—A <referential action> of SET DEFAULT was specified.

"NO ACTION"—A <referential action> of NO ACTION was specified.

DESCRIPTION DBTYPE_WSTR Human-readable description of the constraint.

Default Sort Order: CONSTRAINT_CATALOG, CONSTRAINT_SCHEMA, CONSTRAINT_NAME, UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_CATALOG, UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_SCHEMA, UNIQUE_CONSTRAINT_NAME
