Example: On-Line Banking with ASP and MTS

Now that we have examined the new features that the integration of ASP and Microsoft Transaction Server has given application developers, lets try out a simple example. We have seen how the use of MTS will make it simpler for developers to write applications that can be robust, yet easily scale to support vast numbers of users. Granted, it is probably difficult to show an example and definitively prove that it can support thousands of users simultaneously. That is, unless everyone reading this book decides to hit the example site at once. But, this example will use the concepts that we went over in this chapter to write scalable application components, and then in a leap of faith, we will rely on Transaction Server to come through and provide the scalability it promises.
