Writing Scriptlets-oriented Macros

Perhaps you don't know, but Developer Studio 97 has built-in support for HTML files. Since the DevStudio help system is based on the WebBrowser control, you can view both HTML pages and ActiveX documents inside it. In fact, when you attempt to install it, it checks for an updated version of Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher. This is an indirect demonstration of an instance where DevStudio really needs the WebBrowser component.

Notice that among the types of files you can add to any project there are also HTML pages. To verify this, just try to create a new file through the File|New menu. Once you've chosen the HTML format and saved the page, right-clicking on the active document allows you to see a Preview command. It lets the underlying WebBrowser component navigate up to the currently active file. So you can preview Web pages from within DevStudio 97.

Consider also that when you install Internet Explorer 4.0, it silently replaces the old WebBrowser control with a newer version that supports scriptlets and also DHTML.
