Privacy

One person's treasured privacy is another person's jail cell. Security hobbles that grant privacy to one participant in a shared system take functionality away from someone else. The three main players in such shared systems are browser users, script writers and webmasters.

If a security system is in place, then browser security hobbles are not generally enforced. So privacy issues only really apply in an unsecured environment, such as ordinary use of the World Wide Web.
