Security

JavaScript security issues are mostly confined to the World Wide Web. Security issues for non-CGI standalone JavaScript scripts are the same as for standalone scripts in any language.

For the Web, the basic security model supplied by web browsers keeps JavaScript scripts harmless and restricted, and browser users anonymous. As a script writer, you may want to overcome one or both of these restrictions. In order to do so, you must come to a security arrangement with the user.
