Use Case 2: Problem Recording

Here's another example of some related requirements that might be implemented, in a separate system, to track problems with videos:

Requirements Use Case for Video Problem Recording

The video store maintains an inventory of rentable videos. As the videos age they begin to have problems. By tracking the number of problems over time, the store can stop renting the videos before they get too bad.

The customer reports the problem to an attendant, either when the video is returned or sometimes over the phone. The attendant records the video's ID into the computer and indicates the nature or category of the problem, along with the date and (optionally) a text description.
