The effectiveness of security and encryption is in large part determined by the care with which it is used. Some of the most elaborate data-protecting schemes can be more easily compromised than simpler ones, just because people get lazy and take it for granted or are insufficiently aware of the weaker points that, of necessity, exist in every design.
