One purpose of the Visual Studio benchmarks is to examine the vision for each product. Microsoft does not promise all tools in the Visual Studio suite will be equal; indeed, Microsoft has repeatedly made the point that the various VS tools deliver specific solutions to a variety of enterprise development areas. There is not any single best tool for any occasion. Instead, you must weigh a tool's RAD and functional capabilities in light of its general performance to ascertain its appropriateness for a given task, and make your choice accordingly. It is important to evaluate tools in the context of what they offer your business, not their performance alone. Besides, what are a few milliseconds among close friends?
