Save and Restore Sections of the Registry
The easiest way to back up the Registry is to use the Regedit.exe program. Run Regedit.exe and expand the HKEY_ LOCAL_MACHINE branch. Next, expand the Software and Microsoft branches. Under the Microsoft branch, expand the Windows NT and then CurrentVersion branches. Scroll down the CurrentVersion branch until you find the Perflib key. Highlight the Perflib key, select "File - Export Registry File," type in the name and location, and click on Save.

Restoring this section is as simple as selecting "File - Import Registry File," then choosing the file you saved this section of the Registry to.
