Porting Projects from the x86 to the Alpha Platform

You can easily port projects from the x86 platform to the Alpha platform, but some changes are required. You can use the same project (.MAK) and source files, but not intermediate files, which have to be rebuilt. In addition to copying the project files to the new platform and specifying a new target, you must reset project options. Because the Alpha edition of Visual C++ does not accept exactly the same set of options as the x86 edition, the defaults for each platform are assumed.
