Storing Relationships

The run-time object model and the storage schema differ significantly. These differences are most apparent when you query the Repository database for information about relationships. In fact, the storage of relationships and the run-time manipulation of relationships differ profoundly.

The Repository database uses the RTblRelships table to store information about relationships. An individual row of the table can be any of the following:

• A description of an individual version-to-version relationship
  
  
• A description of a set of version-to-version relationships
  
  
• A description of sequencing and pinning information for a single origin versioned relationship
