Working with the LDAP Service

The following examples demonstrate the basics when working with the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) Service provided with Microsoft® Site Server 3.0. The examples are listed according to common tasks associated with configuring and listing information about the service. Where appropriate, other P&M coclasses are used to demonstrate "linking up" services to make a functioning whole. So in the examples that follow, you will see the use of the majority of the P&M Admin objects, specifically the following coclasses:

The examples in the following topics are configuration-sensitive and will run correctly only if the process has administrative privilege. Note that the ldapcfg coclass is the only admin object that does not require the use of the ObjCreator coclass to allow complete, unrestricted use by administrators.
