To set the default network libraryWhen you install Microsoft® SQL Server™ client utilities on a workstation, SQL Server Setup installs Named Pipes as the default client Net-Library.
If most of the servers to which you will be connecting are not configured to support the current default client Net-Library, you can change the default to another Net-Library.
