How to set trace display defaults (SQL Server Profiler)

To set trace display defaults

1. On the Tools menu, click Options....
2. In the Trace Options dialog box, click the Display tab.
3. Under Display, clear Autostart trace when created to prevent traces from running immediately after they have been created or their definitions have been altered.
4. In the Number of lines of text data displayed in the trace window box, enter a number between 0 and 429,496,729.
5. In the Number of items to buffer for display to the console box, enter a number between 0 and 32,767.
6. In Font Name, select the font to be used by SQL Server Profiler to display traces.
7. In Font size, select a number between 0 and 72.
