To remove one or more virtual servers, reverse the steps used to install it. Microsoft® SQL Server™ must be unclustered before running SQL Server Setup to remove the server. The virtual server, with the disk resource on which it was installed, must be owned and running on the primary server. You can then run cluster setup to uncluster the virtual server, turning it into a normal server. After the server is unclustered, you can run the Setup program to remove SQL Server.
