Use the Unicode locale ID option to indicate the locale used for Unicode character data (nchar) sorting. The Unicode comparison style option determines the sorting options used within that locale (for example, case-sensitivity).
Important The Unicode locale ID option should be configured only by rebuilding the master database and reloading all of your data. The Rebuild Master utility allows you to specify a new Unicode locale ID.
Unicode locale ID is an advanced option. To view the value for Unicode locale ID, make sure that show advanced options is set to 1, and then run sp_configure. The setting takes effect after stopping and restarting the server.
