srv_langlen

Returns the length of the language request buffer.

Important This Open Data Services function or macro is only supported in Microsoft® SQL Server™ version 7.0 for backward compatibility.

Syntax

long srv_langlen ( SRV_PROC * srvproc );

Arguments

srvproc

Is a pointer to the SRV_PROC structure that is the handle for a particular client connection (in this case, the handle that received the language request). The structure contains information the ODS Library uses to manage communication and data between the Open Data Services server application and the client.

Returns

The length, in bytes, of the language request buffer received from the client. If there is no current language request from the client, returns -1.

Remarks

All or part of the request buffer can be accessed by using srv_langcpy.
