How to deny permissions on multiple objects to a user, group, or role (Enterprise Manager)

To deny permissions on multiple objects to a user, group, or role

  1. Expand a server group; then expand a server.
  2. Expand Databases; then expand the database to which the user, group, or role belongs.
  3. Click Users or Roles, depending on the type of user, group, or role to which permissions will be denied.
  4. In the details pane, right-click the user, group, or role to which permissions will be denied, point to All Tasks, and then click Manage Permissions.
  5. Select List all objects.
  6. Select the permission to deny for each object. An ‘X’ indicates a denied permission. Only permissions applicable to the object are listed.
